Environmental Commission

The Environmental Commission actively protects our natural resources, promotes Open Space, and offers educational programs to our residents. Every year the Environmental Commission co-sponsors a Community Clean-Up Day together with the NJ Clean Communities Program. This Commission works closely with the Lake Musconetcong Regional Planning Board, the Sussex County Soil Conservation District, the Sussex County Municipal Authority, and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection to ensure our natural resources are protected and preserved.

STANHOPE CLEAN-UP DAY (SEPTEMBER 28TH )

CLEAN-UP DAY SPONSORED BY STANHOPE'S ENVIRONMENTAL & SHADE TREE COMMISSIONS

Stanhope residents and local groups are invited to help clean local parks and trails in our community on Sunday, September 28th.

Meet at 1:00PM at Valley Road School (to clean from Valley Road School to Lenape Valley Regional High School) OR

Meet at 1:00PM at the Plaster Mill (to clean the area around the Plaster Mill and Salmon Memorial Park) OR

Establish another clean-up site in town which must be pre-approved. Please contact Nicole Member for more information about this option.

Dress appropriately for the weather. Water, bags and gloves will be provided. For more information, contact Nicole Member at 973-951-9424.
